Oh, and so everyone knows, here is a copy of the Treknologic Rating Scale:

# Rating Description
10 Sublime This is an episode of beauty and grandeur. This is the ultimate expression of not only Star Trek, but the human condition in perfection. With more episodes like this, Humanity may evolve to a higher plane of existence.
9 Inspirational This episode was deeply moving. It challenged my intellect and was emotionally inspirational, and gives me hope for the human race.I am a better human being for having seen this episode.
8 Dazzling This episode dazzled me with its (cleverness, emotional content, character development, YMMV).I thoroughly enjoyed watching it and I would watch it multiple times. It could even make a great movie!
7 Exceptional This was a fantastic episode that was a lot of fun to watch. You know, the episodes that rate 7 and above are what makes Star Trek so enjoyable to watch. These are the key episodes that define the entire series.

What episodes do you think of when you think of Star Trek? You think of The Best of Both Worlds, The City on the Edge of Forever, the Dominion War arc, Future’s End, and In a Mirror, Darkly. I would definitely watch this if I saw it on TV.

6 Solid This is a strong episode. I might watch it if I caught it on TV.Episodes rating 5 or 6 are the background universe of Star Trek. They’re not great, but they keep the franchise running, and they’re not hard on the eyes.
5 Average Middle-of-the-road. Watchable. I might watch it in the background while I’m doing something else.
4 Tolerable This is a humdrum episode that’s okay. Really,it’s just tolerable. I mean, really, I have better things to do than watch this. But if I’m bored and there’s nothing else to do or on TV, and I didn’t have a good book or something, I might watch it.
3 Boring At this point, it’s getting irritating to watch. I will turn the TV off! There’s just no point to watching this episode.Episodes rated 3 and below are what makes up the dregs of Star Trek. This is why people make fun of Star Trek. They shouldn’t be tolerated. How can this even get past the script stage? Someone needs to be fired.
2 Tedious I don’t want to watch this episode again. Please don’t make me. Even if it has something that’s arc-important, then I’d rather just catch that part on the YouTubes.Okay, you’re on a budget and a timeline. I understand. But do something else rather than a bad episode. Maybe you should have a few bottle episodes written up and ready to film for when you receive a bad script and film them instead. Bad episodes like this hurt the franchise! And more than that, it hurts us, your core fans.
1 Dreadful I am filled with a dread that I may see this episode again.Do you remember the scene in A Clockwork Orange when Alex was tortured with drugs that made him sick and was forced to watch violent movies with his eyelids being clipped? That’s what I felt like when I watched this episode. I would journey to Mordor to throw this episode into the heart of Mount Doom where it was clearly forged.
0 Horrifying This episode has given me a headache; it borders on setting off my insanity. In fact, this episode may be the equivalent of seeing Cthulhu rise before you.Do you remember that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark when that guy’s face melted off? Yeah, that’s exactly what it feels like to watch this episode.

The whole of Humanity has diminished with the airing of this episode.

DS9 – ‘Cardassians’ –TNL Rating: 8/10 Dazzling

Join the crew of the ISS Relativity as we discuss the Deep Space 9 episode ‘Cardassians.’ Keri’s episode description, “This is the one where we find out what happens to Cardassian orphans left on Bajor at the end of the occupation and O’Brien is forced to confront his own prejudices about Cardassians.”

Interim Captain Chris, Keri, Mike, and Ben discuss Star Trek and try to earn some quatloos playing trivia and also cover listener feedback.
