A plea for help for our audition for the Parsec award.

Treknologic was recently nominated for a Parsec award. However, the TNL command crew need your help to at least get into the finals.

Over the past year, what was the best, most memorable 10 minutes of Treknologic history? We need those 10 minutes to submit to the Parsec Awards.

Please send us your suggestions to [email protected]. Thank you!

Oh, and we recruited Galt to help us recruit help. Just ignore that collar Mike installed on you last night…

Star Trek TAS: More Tribbles, More Troubles, TNL Rating: 2/10 Tedious, running time 1:36.

In the top picture, we see Scotty beaming in Cyrano Jones on Mike’s TV (note how Mike lovingly added a beloved lens flare!). If you look just under Scotty’s nose, you can see a distinctly 1970s mustache.

In the second picture, we see Koloth on the bridge of the Enterprise! That wouldn’t be so bad except that he was actually talking to Kirk from the bridge of his ship (with it’s Connect Four background). In fact, it flips back and forth between Kirk and Koloth, and in the middle one he’s on the ship. How can animators be that lazy!!!

In the picture, we see Surak, his gang symbols flashing, starting to fall down in T’Pol’s dream (apparently T’Pol has blurry dreams). Yes, the symbolism was a bit heavy handed in this one.

Star Trek VOY: Threshold, TNL Rating: 0/10 Horrifying, running time 1:43.

Now it takes a lot to get a zero as a score on the Treknologic scale. This means that at least three hosts gave it a zero.

In the picture, we see Tom Paris and Captain Janeway in their final forms. Do they vaguely look like the Voyager with it’s landing gear down? You be the judge!

We’re sorry for having more bonus episodes than usual. Chris and Keri are spending massive amounts of time at real-life work, and Bill is moving. This is consequently showing up as less time to work on Treknologic. We are still trying to ensure one episode a week, and thus, the bonus episodes. Bill’s move will gradually end, and work for  both Chris & Keri will lighten considerably after the first week in June.

Also, Chris’ computer is down, forcing Chris and Keri to record together from one computer. Although it does not affect the bonus episodes, standard episodes have been hit with lower audio quality. As of yesterday’s Listening Post, the problems have been resolved to the best of our ability. A new laptop will be purchased in the next 3 weeks, so we request your patience. Now to make it an official PSA…

What to Do if You are on Fire

Excuse yourself from your current social situation, drop to the ground, and roll around – preferably to a body of water. This is your best chance of putting out the flame. If you have time while you’re rolling around, politely ask one of your friends to smother the flame with a blanket, sand, or water, without consequently smothering you.

If you survive, remember to thank all the parties that helped you survive. Afterward, a beautiful handmade card is just the right touch to say, “Thanks for saving my life.”

Andromeda : Angel Dark, Demon Bright, TNL Rating: 7/10 Exceptional, running time 1:11.

Join the crew of the USS Relativity as we discuss Andromeda: Angel Dark, Demon Bright. At first it seemed a little silly, but once we found out more about Trance, and how she was manipulating everyone… well, it got a lot more interesting.

Next week, we will review Chris’ pick of the Voyager episode Threshold. We promise to follow public health regulations and deliver only the minimum legally allowable direct exposure to the actual episode.
